Jürgen Habermas

Jürgen Habermas (1929– ) is a German philosopher and sociologist.

Habermas is perhaps best known for his theory of communicative reason, a theory of human rationality which credits communication as the original cause of reason. Communicative reason places the human faculty and conception of reason within the structures of communication, rather than as something immediately inherent to the individual or present as a feature of the universe.
