Novelist Franz Kafka (1883–1924) came from a middle-class Jewish family in Prague. He lived with his parents for most of his life, despite his hyper-sensitivity to noise.
Kafka's works are known for his blunt style and absurd situations, particularly in The Metamorphosis.
A number of Franz Kafka's early works were lost or destroyed. Others, still, went unfinished by Kafka.
