Leucippus

Leucippus (5th Century BCE) was a pre-socratic philosopher of ancient Greece, and the first to develop a philosophy of atomism.

Atomism is a metaphysical view that everything is composed of atoms, which in the ancient Greek sense, meant tiny indivisible objects.

Leucippus was a teacher to Democritus, who developed his atomism and influenced Epicurus, who held a similar view. Lucippus views atomism as indeterministic, a view that was denied by Democritus but later revived by Epicurus.
